Oh my, I'm completely exhausted and here I am, at work, again! I will be very excited to have a single job, none of this juggling multiple jobs and schedules and trying to have a social life! Phew, it just completely wears me out!
I arrived back from Pennsylvania lastnight around 6ish. The trip home was smooth as was goin up. I did see a few flakes of snow while in Pa, and it was nice. My grandmother is rather fragile and ill, and for most of the time, she sleeps. I miss seeing her the way she used to be, but time is wearing her down and I hope that her last days or weeks or months will be peaceful and comfortable and filled with love by others around her who have the chance to see her on a regular basis.
The up side of being in Pennslyvania...my wonderful cousins, aunts and uncles that I got to see. Although this year was unlike other years, we are all a growing family and don't get a chance to see one another often at the same time, I got to see my cousins from Md. along with my Aunt and Uncle. That was nice.
All in all I guess you could say it was a good trip. Christmas will never be the same as they once were when one is a child. Those are the best Christmas' anyone can ever ask for, but all is a memory now, and all I can do is just try to grasp those times around my brain and smile. Wow, it seems so long ago when we could all get together and have a great time, now we are lucky to have just as much as HALF of the group. Ah well.
I hope that everyone will have an amazing New Year and that everyone is safe and that this year will bring peace and joy to everyone. God Bless.

Christmas Eve
Merry Christmas! Ok Ok, we have 1 more day left, but I won't be able to write until much later this week. I'm ready for tomorrow more than anything, not just because it's Christmas, but because after 1pm tomorrow afternoon I do NOT have to work until Friday! I'm very happy about this!
All I really wish for this Christmas is safe travels for myself and for my extended family. I also pray for maybe a little cold weather, not this dumb springish weather we have been having. I leave for Pennsylvania tomorrow around 3pm which means I'll be arriving at 7pm if all goes well. I hope that some of my family from California is in along with others that I only get to see one time a year.
Mostly, this Christmas, I am anxious to see my lovely Grandma. This will be her first Christmas being in a nursing home. I pray that we can give her a Merry Christmas and that she is happy and healthy for this season. She is adorable!
I hope to have many Christmas pictures up as soon as I get home! I have a fancy camera for the break from school. I haven't had a chance to use it much sincec I've been off, I have to get lots of pictures in over the next week!
Merry Christmas!

Retail has ruined me...

I am reporting a most regretable status that I have just aquired within the last 24 hours.....this status is that retail has officially ruined Christmas for me..at least for now...until Christmas day around 1pm. I hate you retail! I will never work you again in my life EVER again and you have my word on that one most definatly!
But when time passes and it's Christmas and I'm doing what I love to do, be with my family and my friends, all this bitterness will pass, and I will sit back and realize why we Celebrate this great day! I heard a women say to another today that she was ready to "get this stuff over with" whether or not she ment the shopping or Christmas itself...or maybe she ment both, because, of course, most people mistake Christmas with a hectic and gift giving time...I saw, forget the gifts..lets have some good food and good fun! I'm happy with that for sure!!!!
Again, I'm playing the wonderful sounds of Christmas on WEMC tonight...jazz..again..but I would do this everyday over any retail job I can tell you!! :) Charlie Brown Christmas Album...my FAV!
I am such a child when it comes to counting down til Christmas, not because of reason of a child, but others....what...not counting today...7 days...good...c'est bon!

Christmas laterish-Dads for Christmas..yay!
Christmas afternoonish-Travel 4 hours to Pa..BIGGER YAY!
Christmas Nightish-Hopfully I make it up in time for Pa family farm fun times..good times!
So yeah, I want to see my family most of all..I love and miss them and it seems so poopy that I only see some of them at Christmas time, but what better time!! God Bless my Grandmother who is ill and I hope that she'll make it out, but if not maybe we should bring Christmas her way...I love her and keep her in my thoughts each and everyday!
My mum lives pretty dang far, big wishes that she was here too. Next Christmas is looking enticing for a Christmas visit to BC. We'll see..only time will tell!!
Anyway, enough writing for the moment...I must get going here with my jazz and with other stuff...enjoy your last week before our Wonderful Christmas Day!! God Bless!!

One more day
I have, exactly, one day left of school for the semester. Tomorrow I have 1 major final and 1 project due, which is done. I can't tell you how glad I am for this week and semester to be finished. I have worked hard and long hours this semester and I am continually amazing at the new abilites that I discover with each of my new courses. I can, if I wanted, to a fairly professional interview, or take amazing photographs. I can also analyze and nit pick and have great conversation with deep thoughts about film. This is just a minor taste of what one can do and accomplish in 1 semester of university studies. Though I may not be the best in my class, I still think I have the most room for improvement and tend to do that improving thoughout the semester. Which is why break is needed and thank Heaven, it's given to me.
Now to let some of you catch up on whats happening in the world of ME. I have 1 year left of school. I'll officially finish next december with a BA in Communications. I'm pretty hype about the degree, but not so hype to find a job. I'm crazy about radio and would die to have my own show one day. But for now I work at Eastern Mennonite University's public radio station, WEMC 91.7FM (for those of you that are in the area, TUNE IN!) I will soon be working, hopfully, for WMRA which is the public radio station that is funded by James Madison University. I'll take on a little bit more responsibilties there.
Next fall (I know it's a long way from now) I will be applying for a position that will be in France. It's through the U.S Embassy and I would be an English Teachers Asst. in a primary or high school in France. I'm EXTREMELY excited about this, and I pray so much that I get it. Time to go and do a little traveling while earning a very small wage is fine by me!
For those of you that may not know, I have been dating someone for a little over 3 years. Kiel Plogger. He is from Harrisonburg and I ment him through a bunch of friends. He enjoys being outside and we have a dog together...lol...Bailey. She lives with Kiel but I'm there almost everyday playing with her. She is my baby.
I suppose that is enough for one post. I'll probably be back to write more...but i must study for this last final. God Bless.
